Let’s take a closer look at Huf’s collaboration with Nike SB. A *much* closer look. These photos give us a new appreciation for the simple canvas designs. A toe capped sample version drew comparisons to the immortal Converse Chuck Taylor All Star, but the Huf x Nike SB Blazer Mid Premiums in white or black dropped the rubber toe in favour of an entirely textile upper.

The Nike Dunk High Pro SB "Ferris Bueller" (Boulder / Black) have been dubbed the Nike Dunk Ferris Bueller because of their close similarities to what Ferris wears in the 1986 classic movie. They feature a combination of white / brown/ butter / and cheetah print. The most noticeable features include the patent leather Nike swoosh on the side panels, and the cheetah print on the shoe’s inner lining, which makes reference to Ferris’ vest. Like other Nike SB models, they feature Zoom Air insoles for added cushioning and comfort.

The Nike Dunk High Premium SB "Marshall Amp" (Black / Metallic Gold) takes its inspiration from the vintage Marshall Amp. Marshall Amplification is a British company which designs and manufactures music amplifiers. Marshall amplifiers are well known and highly popular among guitarists. The sight and sound of a Marshall stack amp with a Gibson Les Paul or a Fender Stratocaster is an iconic image in pop culture. Marshall amps were originally built as direct copies of Fender amplifiers, but soon incorporated certain traits which made them more favorable to guitarists seeking a heavier sound. These Nike Dunk SB "Marshall Amp" feature a black leather upper with mesh toe box and quarter panels, along with gold accents, a metallic gold swoosh and contrast stitching. The Nike Dunk Low Pro SB "Crimson" white / varsity crimson (Orange Holland Dunk) features a white and crimson red colorway, hence the nickname. It is a simple design, and was not hyped up at all for its release. It does hold some importance though, as it was the first of the Nike Dunk SB’s to be ever be manufactured in Indonesia. The back heel tab is orange, and because of that, some people tried to dub it the Orange Holland Dunk, but it was never picked up.

Designed by The Greek, the Bics are a simple colorway consisting of black suede and yellow and white leather. The shoes got their name because of their resemblance to the Bic company logo. If you haven’t heard of the brand, Bic is known for their razor and pen products; a somewhat odd combination. The shoe is nicely complemented by a few grey accents to make an overall nice colorway.

The Nike Dunk High Pro SB "Pee Wee Herman" (Fallen Heroes Pack) grey / heather came to the scene with the inspiration of Pee Wee’s Playhouse. The show was concluded in 1991 due to Pee Wee, Paul Rubens, getting arrested for masturbating in an adult movie theater. His career was forever affected and tarnished. The color-way resembles Pee Wee’s famous grey suit with a red bow tie. The insole ironically features Pee Wee sitting all alone in a movie theater. This Nike Dunk SB is part of the Nike SB Fallen Heroes Pack.

The Nike Dunk High Pro SB "Money Cat" was part of the Maneki Neko Pack. It features a white / chile red colorway, a small flower icon embroidery on the front n left paw Maneki Neko print on the insole. Special icon embro tongue label with Feeling Lucky on the bottom of the label. Nothing can turn up the heat on a Dunk SB model quite like a great back story and the Wet Floor Dunk certainly has that going for it. Nike campus custodian, Ian Williams, was lucky enough to talk Nike SB into letting him design a Custodian Pack based on some every day janitorial influences. Unfortunately only one of the three models that were designed was selected for production, but that’s still one more shoe than most of us will ever get to design. Support Ian and custodians everywhere with a fresh pair of Wet Floor Dunks.

The Nike Dunk High Pro SB "Big Gulp" feature a unique inspiration. When they originally surfaced, many thought about nicknaming them the Coca Colas and the Santa Clause. But since the debate was never settled, Paul Rodriguez’s store Primitive has dubbed them the Nike Dunk SB "Big Gulp" after the famous 7-11 cup size. They feature a predominantly red upper constructed from suede and leather, along with perforations on the quarter panels and toe box for ventilation. The green shoe laces are reminiscent of the green accents used on the Big Gulp cup. They also have a Brown lining just like the Coca Cola inside the Big Gulp.

Nike SB will be getting in on the fun with this spooky edition of the SB Blazer High. As you can see, the shoe sports a White suede/canvas upper that has been badly “stained” by a gory blood splattered design. Additional accents are provided by a Grey suede Swoosh and Grey toe cap as well as some more touches of Red on the tongue label, heel tab and lining, but let’s be honest that it’s hard to notice anything but the blood graphics on the upper. Even though these might look like the aftermath of a skate session gone horribly wrong, they manage to still pull off a fresh look.
